Fedoskino is a small village a few kilometers from the capital Moscow, where there is one of the oldest and most prestigious art schools of miniatures of paper mache. This case is rare because it was made in the mid-1800s, and because it has been performed in the typical translucent technique of this artistic field. The snow and the part of female clothing derive from application of silver leaf at the base, then painted and lacquered, which results in large part of the image. The carriage in the snow with horses and figures, is one of the typical themes of this school. Excellent state of preservation with the imperial coat of arms inside embossed on silver base.
