Oil painting on canvas made by the artist Lorenzo Delleani in 1887. Artist of particular importance, who approached Impressionism through his trips to Paris, the art of De Nittis and exhibited in the Paris Salons and at the International Exhibitions of Venice. His link to Impressionism can be seen in the fast brushwork, with a very dense and expressive use of color and in the desire to paint the landscape outdoors, immersed in nature. The artist dedicates himself a lot to the landscape, in particular to the Piedmont mountains; his works dating back to the artistic period from 1883 to 1889 are highly appreciated by collectors. This oil on canvas dates back to 1887, in the period of maximum artistic expression of Lorenzo Delleani and represents a view of the Giudecca of Venice, a city that l he knows the artist thoroughly both from his early studies and from his exhibitions. He usually creates small-sized works and signs only with the date at the bottom right, as in this case. Many of his works are today found in the major museums of Turin.
