Beautiful tempera painting on panel depicting the miracle of St. George and the dragon, one of the most well-known and revered prodigious episodes throughout the Christian world. The icon depicts the climax of the miracle, when St. George on horseback pierces the dragon with his sword and pins him to the ground, saving the princess and freeing the city from the monster, thus ensuring the victory of good over evil. On the side borders are four saints while above the scene is depicted The Father who sent the Holy Spirit, the dove painted above St. George. In the upper part of the panel there is a sort of wooden capital. The state of preservation is good, needing only minor cleaning and maintenance.

Ho acquistato on line alcuni gioielli, uno più bello dell'altro. Spedizione velocissima, bella confezione che includeva anche un gradito regalo, i gioielli sono più belli dal vivo che in foto. Lo Staff di Passione Antiqua veramente gentile, un piacere aver acquistato da loro.
