Prayer book "Ore pie" with an engraved ivory cover decorated with golden and colored flower motifs. On the inside cover there is an ivory Christ, framed by silver decorations, while within the back cover there is a secret opening decorated with an archangel. The book was edited by Grandi e Tentoni Milano, with the approval of the Church, as specified by the Latin writing: "Imprimatur in curia arch. Mediolani die 6 Novembris 1898 P. Carolus Nardi Priore gen.". This object is fascinating not only because it is sacred, but also because it shows the history of its owner: on the first page there is a dedication "Alla mia cara Marietta, con affetto Adele Palermo. Verona, 6 Maggio 1909" (To my dear Marietta, with love Adele Palermo. Verona, 6 May 1909).

Con Passione Antiqua ho scoperto il mondo dei gioielli che hanno una loro storia, che appartengono a un'epoca, che hanno un'anima e un valore che va ben oltre la quotazione. Questi preziosi vanno portati "con disinvoltura", come insegna Simone, ma anche con gioia, con il rispetto che si deve alle cose belle e senza tempo, con gratitudine di indossare un'emozione, non solo un ornamento.

Ho acquistato on line alcuni gioielli, uno più bello dell'altro. Spedizione velocissima, bella confezione che includeva anche un gradito regalo, i gioielli sono più belli dal vivo che in foto. Lo Staff di Passione Antiqua veramente gentile, un piacere aver acquistato da loro.
