Painter of Venetian origins, initially a pupil of E.Lancerotto before moving to the Academy of Fine Arts, under the supervision of G.Ciardi, he painted landscapes inspired by the lagoon. His works are presentin the Gallery of Modern Art in Milan, Florence,Venice and Rome. He experimented with watercolor and tempera, technique that permitted him to synthesizethe pure an dbrilliant colors of an Art Nouveau style painting. He won several awards and honors, in Dresden, Monaco and Paris. He won the gold medal at the Venice Biennale in 1905 with the painting In Murano which can be found in the Municipal Galleryof Modern Art. Three years later he won the gold medal at the International Exposition in Barcelona. His success arrives in Italy in 1914 thanks to the personnel presented at the Venice Biennale.
