Gorgeous murano glass sculpture in the shape of a fish, crafted in the 1950s at the Archimede Seguso furnace. It belongs to the celebrated Alabastro series, in whch the the glass shows a velvety opalescence and a diffused luminosity, creating an effect similar to that of the polished natural stone. The piece stands out for the compactness of its body and the fluidity of its lines, evoking natural movement, while the aquamarine hue gradually shades toward the fins and tail in opaline glass, adding dynamism to the composition. The detail of the eye, precisely modeled, and the rendering of the dorsal fins testify to Archimede Seguso’s mastery in handling solid glass with balance and control. It bears the original label on the base and is in perfect condition.
