Antique Russian icon depicting the Mother of God of the Three Hands, painted on wooden board during the 1800s. The name of this kind of icon is due to the third hand of Mary on the lower part, added as an ex-voto. The origin of this iconography is linked with Saint John of Damascus, who prayed to an icon of the Mother of God to have his hand healed. On the sides, there are four Saints, probably requested by the commissioners of the icon.
