Icon of Saint Nicholas - Russia 19th century

Interesting tempera painting on panel depicting St. Nicholas, bishop of Myra, one of the most beloved and venerated saints in Russia. The saint wears bishop's vestments with a stole, called an omophorion, decorated with crosses and holds the Holy Scriptures with his left hand, while he blesses with his right hand. The face is very expressive, furrowed with wrinkles hollowed out by fasting and penance. In the upper corners, as in traditional iconography, the figures of Christ and the Mother of God are depicted. The icon is characterized by the gray colors that simulate the presence of a silver riza. The panel is in good conditions and needs only minor cleaning and maintenance.

Ho fatto pulire e controllare i miei gioielli, quando li ho rivisti ho fatto un salto indietro nel tempo di molti anni, oggi rivedo finalmente questi monili di nuovo brillanti e luminosi come quando mia madre li acquistò da giovane per indossarli e viverli in ogni buona occasione. Non so proprio cosa dirle se non un grazie di cuore. Grazie anche per le riparazioni eseguite a perfetta regola d'arte.

Carissima Valeria, a volte basta poco per potersi godere delle cose dal grande fascino e gusto, sicuramente la mamma sapeva scegliere le belle cose. A noi fa particolarmente piacere ridar vita e fare apprezzare al meglio i lasciti dei tempi passati, oltre al valore intrinseco hanno un grandissimo valore aggiunto che sta nei vostri ricordi e nelle vostre emozioni. Se li goda ancora a lungo e conti sempre su noi per la manutenzione, teniamo vivi gli oggetti e ancor più i nostri ricordi! Noi tutti dello staff la attendiamo presto con il suo sorriso per donarci un po' di gioia come sempre fa quando varca il nostro ingresso. Un abbraccio.
