Beautiful Murano glass vase crafted in blown crystal glass with vertical bands in shades of light blue, dark blue and green. It belongs to the ‘Kukinto’ series, created by Finnish designer Timo Sarpaneva, who collaborated with Venini in the late 1980s. Two versions of this series were originally produced: one featuring vivid colours, and this softer-toned version, which is no longer in production. Through his glass creations, Sarpaneva expressed the deep connection of the Finnish people with nature; indeed, the name ‘Kukinto’ means ‘inflorescence’, and the shape of this vase recalls the corolla of a Nordic flower swaying in the wind. The piece retains its original label and bears the engraved signature ‘Venini ’93’ on the base. Rare collector’s item, preserved in perfect condition.
