Bottle with stopper in Murano glass, attributed to the historic Seguso Vetri d'Arte glassworks, made with the sommerso (submerged) glass technique in three colors: topaz yellow, green and blue. Sommerso glasses are very thick and are obtained by immersing the glass being processed in crucibles of different transparent colors which then give beautiful chromatic effects, as in this case. Flavio Poli, one of the most important Murano designers of the last century, was artistic director of 'Seguso Vetri d'Arte' from 1934 to 1963 and in the 1950s he worked almost exclusively with submerged glass, creating vases with pure and essential lines characterized by the various layers of nicely contrasting colours. This beautiful collector's piece is in excellent conditions.
